Hosted by Mr Steven Backhouse (ENT Consultant, Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend), the 3rd Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Surgical Research Symposium on 12th October 2012 in Cardiff welcomed entrants to submit abstracts, posters and conduct presentations on a chosen surgical research focus.

Jacob Cook (pictured above) was awarded the Inaugural DTR Medical ‘Technology, Innovation and Design’ award for his work on “Reconstructing 3-D Paranasal Sinus Surgical Anatomy from CT Images”.
Competing against nearly 60 entrants in the poster presentations, his submission epitomised DTR Medical and their focus on innovative product design and development.
As a proud sponsor, DTR Medical attended the event and displayed a select range of their sterile single use instruments for the perusal of attendees on the day.
