DTR Medical are proud supporters of the Swansea University student employability scheme – ‘SPIN’ (Swansea Paid Internship Network).

Introduced by Swansea University under the Swansea Employability Academy, SPIN is an initiative focused on assisting students to be better prepared to enter work after completing their studies.

Taking the opportunity to show continued support of regional initiatives, DTR Medical attended the scheme’s launch on campus at Swansea University.

In June, they welcomed English Literature Undergraduate Dafydd Nash to their growing Marketing department as they sought to complement the growing business with an expanding team. Dafydd joined the company on a six week placement, undertaking a range of Marketing based projects providing much valued support to the departmental and company objectives.

He has demonstrated a clear understanding of our core values and position in the industry, our customer base and competitors, whilst already presenting his research findings at a recent company quarterly meeting.

The SPIN scheme has provided this opportunity platform for both parties and as other companies begin to realise some of the benefits we have experienced even in this short time….I can only foresee this scheme growing from strength to strength.
