DTR Medical, a medical devices manufacturer won its largest single export order ever as a result of attending Welsh Government supported visits to Medica in Dusseldorf and Arab Health in Dubai – two of the world’s key life sciences exhibitions.

DTR Medical, which specialises in the design and manufacture of sterile single-use surgical instruments, has attended both events over a number of years and won the £415K order for Saudi Arabia from a German based company after attending Medica. Managing Director Andrew Davidson described it as a real case of international co-operation and said it made 2014 their best year ever, in terms of turnover and export sales, since the company began trading nine years ago.

In addition to UAE and Saudi Arabia, DTR Medical export to 30 different countries with Ireland, Germany, New Zealand and Australia being the key markets.
