by DTR Medical Ltd

DTR Medical, a leading single-use instrument manufacturer, celebrated their tenth year at Medica in Dusseldorf, Germany with a full programme of meetings with our partners and potential distributors.

Medica is a key event in our calendar, providing the opportunity to meet customers, distributors and suppliers from around the world, who are all in Dusseldorf at the same time for this event.

New Launches at Medica

At Medica 2015, we showcased our dedication to innovation, with new product launches including our new sterile single-use Endoscopic Ear suction range. These products avoid the difficulty in cleaning re-usable instruments as well as enable the uptake of this relatively new surgical approach.

We also displayed our new sterile single-use Bone Trephine for optimal sharpness in procedures such as bone grafting or cleft palate repair.

The bone trephine was met with great enthusiasm. This important new product developed with Great Ormond Street and others created interest worldwide.

In time for this event, the DTR Medical website was upgraded to include a portal for use by our partners that gives them access to a source of useful information and product images they can use in their local marketing activity. Our distributors were delighted to have these new tools, recognizing the improvement in the support.

Putting our quality to the test

This year, DTR Medical confidently welcomed visitors to take a closer look at our instruments using magnifying glasses. Visitors could thoroughly inspect as well as appreciate the quality of our products, particularly the range we produce for Ophthalmology professionals.

Interest from around the world The recognition for the need for single-use instruments grows each year around the world, and DTR Medical expects to meet this demand by finding strong distributor partners, with the route to market already established, who can add our range into their portfolio. At Medica 2015, our team talked to potential new partners in a number of countries including Finland, Portugal, Japan, Belgium and France. It was also a pleasure to see so many old friends again as well, and we would like to thank all the visitors who came to our stand.

What happens next? Work has already commenced to make the many discussions we had into practical realities so we are ready to make meet the needs of  new markets, to launch new lines in 2016, and to return to Dusseldorf next November with more exciting developments. Export manager, Ed Casey, will also be working with Leader Healthcare in UAE, Qatar and Kuwait in the coming weeks so we start 2016 with the same dynamism that we had in 2015.
